Comic Workshop in Slagelse – April 15, 2025
It was Father’s Day when we held a comic workshop in Slagelse in collaboration with Den Boligsociale Helhedsplan – En Fælles Indsats (The Social Housing Plan – A Joint Effort). The wish was for the workshop to have an H.C. Andersen theme, so we started by watching two short animated films that told the fairy tale “The Sweethearts” about the top and the ball who don’t end up together. Mia Fryland led the workshop, and the 9 participants showed great imagination with the theme from the fairy tale as they created their comics.
After several hours of intense work, we held an exhibition, and everyone had the opportunity to talk about and present their very different comics.
Comic Workshop in Herning – March 11, 2025
In Herning, we collaborated with the social housing project Plads Til Forskel (“Room for Diversity”). The participants in the comic workshop were four users from a day center for the elderly and five girls from the neighboring school. They drew together and had some great conversations about what it’s like to be a child today compared to when the older participants were the same age as the girls. This naturally led to drawings that focused on kindergartens and schools.
Mia Fryland led the workshop, and after several hours of intense work—only interrupted by a lunch break—we held an exhibition, and everyone had the chance to talk about and present their very different comics.

Työpaja Lieksassa
Explore the gap-hanke järjesti sarjakuvatyöpajan Lieksassa 1.2.2024.
